This screen most of us have encountered in our life before and if you haven’t you will. It’s the same as getting a flat tire on a car, if you use a car eventually one day you will get a flat tire whether you like it or not.

So what happens when you get a blue screen of death?

What does it mean?

Well a blue screen of death can be caused by a few problems, it could be hardware related or software related. I am going to share with you a couple of ways to Repair your computer so you don’t have to see this nasty screen.

A blue screen of death can be caused by new hardware that has just been put in your computer, if you have recently added hardware remove it straight away and use your computer again to see if it blue screens.

It could be caused by errors in windows and to repair this you will need to do a repair on windows with the Windows XP cd.

Viruses can also cause blue screens of death and spyware. Make sure you update your anti virus so you have the most up to date defnitions and also run a full system scan with your aniti virus to make sure you are clean.

Your RAM could be faulty causing the machine to blue screen on use. If you have been inside the guts of a computer before you can open it up and check to see if you have two slots of RAM if you do remove one and try the computer, if it works you know one of the RAM sticks are faulty.

It could be as simple as being corrupt files or bad sectors/clusters on your hard drive! If you click start down the bottom left of your computer and then click on run. In the white box type “cmd” and press enter. A black box should appear, in here type “chkdsk /f /r” and the press enter and type “Y” to agree with the scheduled scan. Reboot your machine let windows repair any bad sectors on your hdd or corrupt files.
